We have seen a lot of times that most of the pet owners in Pakistan face great problems in taking care of their pets which can be in the form of finding a vet for their animals or finding good quality clothing and accessories etc. Further, our stray dogs and cats are also very helpless, and very few people take care of them, so by taking all these problems under consideration, my team and I decided and will try our best to solve these problems in our country.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to make a single platform (website) where the pet owners will find most of this stuff for their pets easily and get it delivered at their doorsteps.

We will create profiles of different Vets from different areas in Karachi(initially) and provide all of their details so the people can contact them and find their location easily.

We will also work for the stray animals roaming around in our streets to make their life a little bit better and install food and water points in different areas.

Business Model Canvas:

a) Key Partners:
For this work, our key partners for investment will most probably be our group members. We also need to contact a courier company like TCS, Leopard, etc. to deliver our orders. And we need a tailor who will be stitching the clothes.

b) Key Activities:
-
Collect the data of Vets in Karachi Initially and will display that on our Website.

-Contact Web developer who will create a website for us.

-Create an Instagram and Facebook page.

-Finalize some unique clothes and accessories for pets.

-Will create some food points for stray animals

c) Value Proposition:
This will be a single platform where you can find almost every stuff related to your pet, a very easy and handy to use the website, and your products will be delivered at your doorsteps. Further, it will provide you a platform where you can discuss problems related to your pets and answer them, also this website will have profiles of different Vets in Pakistan through which you can contact them easily. Also, our team Fluffy will also be working for the betterment of stray animals so it will also attract the audience.

d) Customer Segment:
People who own pets all around the country are our customers. It might be a minority of the people but fortunately, we have very little competition so it will hopefully work.

e) Revenue Stream:
We will make money by selling our products like clothing and food for pets but we will provide the connection of the people with pet doctors without any cost. For the food of stray animals, we will try our best to raise funds and contact different pet owners.

Timeline, planning, and task division among members:

We used Eisen Hover Matrix to prioritize the tasks and used that as a to-do list for the next 15days.

All the work mentioned in the chart above is necessary and has to be done and these important, urgent, not urgent, and not important are just showing the priority of the tasks.

I divided the work among the members for our project which they have to complete in two weeks.

1) Selecting the name of the website and create a logo:
We collectively decided on the name of our brand which turns out to be The Fluffy Pets. So our website name will be (thefluffypets.pk)
The task to design the logo and other design-related work was given to Ammar, He has shared some unique logo with the group and the design which will get the highest votes will be finalized and Ammar will create final files.

2) Select the design and fabric of clothes:
This task was assigned to Amna and Aiman, they searched about different clothing fabrics and designs through different platforms especially on Amazon, Alibaba, Daraz, some other online stores, and social media apps.

Amna has selected some designs and fabric styles for our web stores. As research for fabric for pets, she studied pets nature, what type of pets felt comfortable in cloths as many pets don’t like some fabric (so we need to consider their emotions and comfort also), and pet clothes styles from the online course (from Coursera) articles and web resources.

3) Find a tailor who can sew pet’s clothes:
This task was given to Umer, this worked couldn’t be done due to Ramadan and lockdown, hopefully, it will be done in the coming week.

4) Data Collection of Vets:
Areeb and Rafay were assigned to this task, they have made a list of vets in different areas of Karachi with their contact numbers, clinic address, timing, and fees. As we will make a separate page of vets on our website, we will add details of all these vets with their permission.

5) Making an Instagram account and communicate with web developer:
I took this task for myself, the Instagram page is ready and we will share that with our friends and family as soon as our logo will be finalized within a day or two. And for the website, I contacted some web developers and selected one from them and assigned this task to him, he is one of my friends basically and he will also finalize the website within two weeks.

Stray cats and Dogs:

Our circle will also work for the betterment of stray animals this is also a major part of our megaproject, we will display our work and areas we will cover on our website and will do fundraising and collect donations to buy food for the stray animals. We will make and install food and water points for them and will name them Fluffy Food Points.

We will make these types of meal points for our stray animals one is for food and the other is for water. These are very easy to make and can be made with PVC pipes. I have never seen these types of points in Karachi so we hope that it will bring a good change.

Challenges we faced and how we overcame them:

The main challenge is that we can not do a physical meetup in this covid situation to discuss the details of the project so we have to do that in an online meeting.

Another challenge was to convince the vets to give their details because we don't have any proof right now to show in the form of a website but this job was done very nicely by Rafay and Areeb and they were able to convince them.

Another great challenge is to find a tailor which will stitch clothes for pets and we are still working on it to find a solution.

We know that we will face much greater challenges as we proceed further towards the completion of our project and we will definitely work together as a strong team with planning to overcome all those in the future.
